2. Instlling USB drivers for OMRON HMI NB:

I'll be showing you how to install USB drivers for Omron HMI NB, the basic hardware configuration is a computer running designer a USB cable and an HMI NB.

Today I happen to be using an NB7W- TW01B, first let me show you what happens if try and upload the project out of the NB but we don't have the USB drivers properly installed
I've plugged it into my computer, but the drivers didn't install yet so I go to the tool menu upload I'll click set to select the communication method.

I'm going to use the USB port and I will upload the project files immediately I get a message saying cannot open USB port and this a good indication that the USB drivers were not installed properly.

So now let me go to the windowns device manager i'll press the windows key and type device manager and hit enter i can see under other devices but i have a gadget serial version 2.4 this is actually the device for the E and B HMI .

the exclamation mark to the left means that the drivers have not been installed properly i'm going to right click on the device select update driver software select browse my computer for driver software

and i'm going to point it to the sequel in Program files x86 on run and be designer and driver directory i want to select the include subfolders a couple of notes first of all if you're running a 32-bit operating system instead of 64-bit.

you won't have the x86 second of all it's important to note this is not the same directory that most of the Omron drivers are in they're usually in program files x86 Omron drivers the NB HMI are actually in the designer directory.

So now I'll click the next button it finds the correct drivers goes ahead and installs them, I click close and we should be ready to go so back in designer.

I go to the tools menu upload I still have USB port set from before, and I'll click the button to upload project files.

Now it lets me continue on so this is a good sign I'll click okay. Wants me to store this to a file name good old, it's asking for a password by default.

password is enabled on the NB HMI when you're trying to upload and it's password that can be changed

When you create your project and as you can see NB designer is now uploading my project file from my screen.

The communications are working a couple more seconds and it should be done great and that's now you install USB drivers for the Omron HMI NB.

From here we have finished the subject of the Installing USB drivers for Omron HMI NB, if you like it, please share it with friends until it benefits, and then meet on a new topic on blog PLC Technical.
