Dear PLC Technical members,
Hello, friends welcome to our follow-up again on PLC Technical blog, this article based on the traffic light signal program. Here I used AB (Allen Bradly) PLC Rslogix 500 software.
I. CONTROL AND SUPERVISE THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS VIA RSLogix 500
PLC Allen Bradley:
Allen-Bradley is one of the brands of Rockwell automation, with the others being Rockwell Software, ICS Triplex, HIPROM. The Allen-Bradley brand name of plant computerization gear incorporates:
Allen Bradley offers modular PLC designs, PLC is spared in modules. From control, Logix PLC is one of the large control systems.
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Human-machine interfaces
- Sensors
- Programming
- Drives and drive frameworks
- Contactors
- Engine control
Allen Bradley offers modular PLC designs, PLC is spared in modules. From control, Logix PLC is one of the large control systems.
Allen Bradley also offers systems for smaller applications. Most well known are their Micrologix SLC 500 and compact logic frameworks.
RsLogix 500:
The software for ladder logic programming for the PLC Allen Bradley. is compatible with SLC 500 and MicroLogix programs created with any of the Rockwell Softwares programming packages.
By visiting this article you can find out how to use the software Rslogix 500 for Upload Allen Bradley PLC program.
1. Purpose of the manipulation:
The purpose is to control and supervise the traffic lights at an intersection. The programmable controller and programming software used are Allen Bradley Micrologix 1500 and Rslogix 500 V4.5 respectively.
2. Description of the operation:
The operation be represented by the following sequences:This part is a design of Traffic Lights operation using PLC software. RED LIGHT-- YELLOW LIGHT-- GREEN LIGHT-- YELLOW LIGHT-- RED LIGHT, Switch and Timers, and few Outputs are used here.
3. Programme and control programmes (in LADDER):

Cyclical Program LAD2:
Although there are many ways to program, my task is to not only control a two-way traffic light but to do it utilizing a single timer, and ward comparisons instructions.Green for each side is 8 seconds, while amber is 4 seconds there's also a one-second delay for the green light after the other side turns red.
So that means 8 plus 4 seconds is 12 seconds plus 1 is 13 seconds so we are we have a 26 seconds cycle.
From here we have finished the subject of the control and supervise the traffic lights via RSLogix 500, if you like it, please share it with friends until it benefits, and then meet on a new topic on blog PLC Technical.
Regards,
PLC Technical
